Here's what we are learning this month!

Reading:
- Ask and answer questions about key details in a literary text.
- Describe how major characters respond to challenges in a story.
- Describe the overall structure of a story including the beginning, middle and end.
Math:
- Use common math fact strategies such as counting on, making ten, decomposing to 10, using the relationship between addition and subtraction, creating equivalent but easier or known sums.
- Recognize, read and write numbers to 1000 using place value blocks and charts.
- Write numbers in standard, expanded and word form.
Writing:
- Write complete sentences with a subject and an action. Expand sentences by adding adjective and details
- Write a story with B,M,E using proper conventions and time order words.
- Identify nouns as a person, place, thing or idea. Write common and proper nouns correctly.
Social Studies/Science:
- Describe rights/responsibilities of citizens in the school setting and in the community.
- Describe the major differences between Urban, Suburban and Rural communities.
